The general purpose and goals of the Greek School are:

  • To supplement public/private school education of young Greek Americans by teaching them the modern Greek Language, the Orthodox faith, history, Greek geography and culture.
  • To provide young Greek Americans with the basic knowledge of the Greek language, make them feel secure in the Greek community, and strengthen their feelings of belonging at Greek functions and social gatherings.
  • To enrich young Greek Americans' personal experiences and thus help them appreciate those values that characterize the Greek people and instill an awareness of their relationship to the great Hellenistic civilization.
  • To create a sense and feeling of our liturgical language, help young Greek Americans participate in the religious life of our Church, her programs, and organizations.
